ACE’s Top Charities work in ways that are most likely to produce the greatest gains for animals, actively evaluate and improve their programs, and have a demonstrated need for more funding. We promote them as our top giving opportunities, and as ideal examples of effective advocacy.

Animal Equality

Animal Equality advocates for animals in the U.S., Europe, Latin America, and India. They primarily conduct undercover investigations and grassroots outreach, including a new program intended to convey the experiences of farmed animals using virtual reality technology. They also conduct corporate and legal outreach internationally. 

The Good Food Institute

The Good Food Institute is working to transform the animal agriculture industry by promoting the development of competitive alternatives to animal-based meat, dairy, and eggs. They provide support in a variety of ways to plant-based and cultured meat companies, including building relationships with distributors and retailers and driving R&D of the products.

The Humane League

The Humane League engages in a variety of programs designed to persuade individuals and organizations to adopt behaviors that reduce farmed animal suffering. Their largest programs are their corporate campaigns and grassroots organizing. THL also works to build the animal advocacy movement internationally through the Open Wing Alliance, which offers funding and training to advocacy groups interested in working on corporate campaigns.
